2010 National Title I Conference

Presenting at the Conference

In previous years, sessions were available for purchase by exhibiting companies for direct promotional purposes. Such sessions are not available this year. However, any individual, including those from exhibiting companies, may submit proposals for creative sessions presented by notable speakers focused on key content for the Title I community. This is a time to present expertise in content rather than direct, or indirect, company promotion. All presentations, regardless of who submits them, will be selected based on the same criteria; for more information see Submit a Proposal.

Examples of valuable noncommercial content that companies may wish to share, include:

  • Propose school district representatives sharing specifics about how they have improved Title I student achievement. While your product or service may have helped them achievement their results, it cannot be the focus of the session.
  • Propose a well respected, dynamic major thinker who is blazing new trails in education. This could be a member of your company, If he/she is recognized in the larger education community as an innovator. And, the company, including its products and services, cannot be the main focus of the session.
  • Propose a celebrity speaker who has an educational project affecting disadvantaged youth (you must be able to deliver - and pay for - any speakers included in your proposal).

Presentation proposals must be completed and submitted prior to the July 3, 2009 deadline. All proposals will be reviewed in a formal selection process. Since there are no separate vendor sponsored sessions, there is no separate selection process for sessions proposed by vendors.

Please refer to the Program page, in the website menu, for additional information.
